The Indian Army a ground branch and the largest component of the Indian Armed Forces. The President of India is the supreme commander of the Indian Army, and its professional chief is the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), a four-star general. *Note The upper age limit has been relaxed from 21 Years to 23 Years as a one time measure for the Recruiting Year 2022-23.

The entire country has been divided into six regions namely; Western Plains Region, Eastern Plains Region, Central Region, Southern Region, Western Himalayan Region and Eastern Himalayan Region. The minimum physical standards for the various regions are as follows:

Note :
- Only one type of Bonus Marks (Max of the permissible) will be added to the total.

- Original Certificates to be carried by all above categories at rally site.
- Sports Certificate are valid for two years from the issue date as on first day of the recruitment rally for which the candidate is being screened.
