The President of India is the supreme commander of the Indian Army, and its professional chief is the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), a four-star general. The primary goal of the Indian Army is to replace national security and national unity, to protect the nation from external aggression and internal threats, and to maintain peace and security along its borders. Every year Indian Army authorities(Govt of India) release lots of job notifications to join for various posts of the Indian Army. (2)Agniveer (Tech) (All Arms)10+2/Intermediate Exam Pass in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Maths and English with min 50% marks in aggregate and 40% in each subject.OR10+2 /Intermediate Exam Pass in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Maths and English from any recognized State Education Board or Central Education Board to include NIOS and ITI course of minimum one year in required field with NSQF level 4 or above.17 ½- 21* Yrs
(3)Agniveer Clerk / Store Keeper Technical (All Arms)10+2 / Intermediate Exam Pass in any stream (Arts, Commerce, Science) with 60% marks in aggregate and minimum 50% in each subject. Securing 50% in English and Maths/Accounts /Book Keeping in Class XII is mandatory.17 ½- 21* Yrs
(4)Agniveer Tradesmen (All Arms) 10th pass(i) Class 10th simple pass. (ii) No stipulation in aggregate percentage, but should have scored 33% in each subject.17 ½- 21* Yrs
(5)Agniveer Tradesmen (All Arms) 8th pass(i) Class 8th simple pass. (ii) No stipulation in aggregate percentage, but should have scored 33% in each subject.17 ½- 21* Yrs
(6)Agniveer (General Duty) Women in Corps of Military PoliceClass 10th /Matric with 45% marks in aggregate and 33% in each subject. For boards following grading system of D grade (33% – 40%) in individual subjects or equivalent of grade which contains 33% and overall aggregate in C2 grade or equivalent corresponding to 45% in aggregate.

*Note The upper age limit has been relaxed from 21 Years to 23 Years as a one time measure for the Recruiting Year 2022-23.

Standard Minimum Height, Unexpanded Chest, and Weight of Recruits at the Time of Enrolment for Agniveer

The entire country has been divided into six regions namely; Western Plains Region, Eastern Plains Region, Central Region, Southern Region, Western Himalayan Region and Eastern Himalayan Region. The minimum physical standards for the various regions are as follows:

(l)Agniveer TradesmenMinimum physical standards of the regions given above, minus 1 Cm chest and 2 Kg weight. Ht criteria would be as par with Soldier General Duty as relevant to the region.

Note:* Regional physical standards lower than the standards laid down in Paragraph (j) above will be applicable to clerical candidates belonging to those region.

Note :

  • Only one type of Bonus Marks (Max of the permissible) will be added to the total.
  • Bonus marks will be accorded on qualifying in the written examination.
  • Only one ward (daughter/son) of Service/Ex-Servicemen/War Widow/Widow of Ex-servicemen can avail bonus marks in written examination.
  • Original Certificates to be carried by all above categories at rally site.
  • Sports Certificate are valid for two years from the issue date as on first day of the recruitment rally for which the candidate is being screened.
