With a view to provide income support to all landholding farmers’ families in the country, having cultivable land, the Central Government has implemented a Central SectorScheme, named, “Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN)”.

The scheme aims to meet the financial needs of the families of all landholding farmers in procuring various inputs commensurate with the anticipated agricultural income as well as household needs, to ensure proper crop health and proper yield. Under this scheme, an amount of Rs 6000 /- per annum is released online by the Central Government to the bank accounts of eligible farmers under direct benefit transfer mode, subject to some exceptions.

  • To Provide Financial Assistance To The Farmers Of The State So That They Do Not Have To Face Any Difficulty In Their Farming Due To The Adverse Weather Conditions
  • Increasing Crop Diversity And Productivity
  • To Increase The Use Of High Quality Machinery In Agriculture.
  • To Turn Agriculture Into A Profitable Business
  • To Give Income Protection To Farming Families In Case Of Farmer’s Untimely Demise

Eligibility Criteria

  • All land-holding eligible farmer families (subject to the prevalent exclusion criteria) are to avail of the benefits under this scheme,
  • Under the scheme, financial benefit has been provided to all Small and Marginal landholder farmer families with total cultivable holding upto 2 hectares

Exclusion Categories

The following categories of beneficiaries of higher economic status shall not be eligible for benefit under the scheme:

  1. All Institutional Landholders.
  2. Farmer families in which one or more of its members belong to following categories
  3. Former and present holders of constitutional posts
  4. Former and present Ministers/ State Ministers and former/present Members of LokSabha/ RajyaSabha/ State Legislative Assemblies/ State Legislative Councils,former and present Mayors of Municipal Corporations, former and present Chairpersons of District Panchayats.
  5. All serving or retired officers and employees of Central/ State Government Ministries /Offices/Departments and its field units Central or State PSEs and Attached offices /Autonomous Institutions under Government as well as regular employees of the Local Bodies (Excluding Multi Tasking Staff /Class IV/Group D employees)
  6. All superannuated/retired pensioners whose monthly pension is Rs 10,000/-or more (Excluding Multi Tasking Staff / Class IV/Group D employees) of above category
  7. All Persons who paid Income Tax in last assessment year
  8. Professionals like Doctors, Engineers, Lawyers, Chartered Accountants, and Architects registered with Professional bodies and carrying out profession by undertaking practices.

Benefits

Financial benefit of Rs 6000 per annum per family payable in three equal installments of Rs 2000 each, every four months.The revised Scheme is expected to cover around 2 crores more farmers, increasing the coverage of PM-KISAN to around 14.5 crore total beneficiaries.

How to Apply

Online – Via CSC

  1. Following are the prerequisites for the enrollment process:
    1. Aadhaar Card
    2. Landholding paper
    3. Saving bank account
  2. The VLE will fill the complete details of Farmer registration details like, State, district, subdistrict block, and village, key-in the Aadhaar number, Name of beneficiary, category, Bank detail, Land Registration ID and Date of birth as printed on aadhaar card for authentication..
  3. The VLE will fill the Land details like Survey/ Kahta No., Khasra no. and area of land as per mention in land holding papers.
  4. Upload the supporting document like Land, Aadhar, Bank passbook.
  5. Self declaration accept and save the application form.
  6. After save the application form make payment through CSC ID.
  7. Check the Beneficiary status through Aadhar number

  • First of all, you have to go to the official website of the scheme, After going to this official website, the home will open in front of you.
  • On this home page, you will see the option of Farmer Corner. From this option, you will see the option of beneficiary status. After clicking on the option, the next page will open in front of you.
  • On this page, you can see the status from any of the beneficiary status Aadhaar number, account number, mobile number etc. Click on one of these and click on Get Data.
  • After this, you can see the beneficiary status.

Status of Self Registered / CSC Farmers

  • First of all, you have to go to the official website of the scheme.
  • After going to the official website, the home page will open in front of you.
  • On this home page, you have to click on the option of “Status of Self Registered / CSC Farmers” from the farmers corner option. After clicking on the option, the next page will open in front of you
  • On this page, you have to fill your Aadhaar number, captcha code etc. After filling all the information, you have to click on the search button.
  • After this, you will see the current status of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana .

Check beneficairy list of your area/village

  • First of all, you have to go to the official website of the scheme.
  • After going to the official website, the home page will open in front of you.
  • On this home page, you have to click on the option of “beneficairy list” from the farmers corner option.
  • After clicking on the option, the next page will open in front of you
  • On this page, you have to select your state,district,sub district,village After filling all the information, you have to click on the get report
  • After this, you will see the beneficiary list of your village
