The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducts the annual Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) examination to recruit candidates for various posts categories of the Government of India such as Lower Divisional Clerk (LDC), Data Entry Operator (DE), and Postal Assistant / Sorting Assistant (PA / SA), etc.

THE SSC CHSL exam is a competitive exam that consists of a written exam, followed by a skill test or typing test for the specific post.   • Tier I: Objective-type computer-based examination (CBE)
  • Tier II: Objective-type computer-based examination and skill test

  • Tier I is of objective type.
  • There is a negative marking of 0.50 marks for each wrong answer in Tier I.
