Eligibility Criteria

To avail of the benefits of the Jagananna Vasathi Deevena Scheme, the students must fulfill the following eligibility criteria:

Course eligibilityThe scheme is available for students enrolled in regular courses and not for students studying in distance learning courses. Applicants need to enrol in the following courses to apply for this scheme – ITI, Undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, Polytechnic, B.Pharmacy and M. Pharmacy, B.Ed, MBA, MCA, B.Tech and M.Tech.
Income limitApplicant’s family’s annual income must not be above ₹2.5 lakhs.
Attendance requirementStudents must have 75% attendance in college to qualify for this scheme, and students who registered for and received hostel accommodation are eligible to apply.
Institution eligibilityStudents must take admission in government or government-backed educational institutions or private colleges with affiliations of state boards or universities.
Land ownershipIn the case of land ownership, the applicant’s family must hold dry land below 25 acres or wetlands below 10 acres or dry or wetlands below 25 acres.
Bank account ownershipAn individual’s mother should own a bank account where the Government will transfer the amount directly.
Vehicle ownershipApplicants should not own a four-wheeled vehicle.
Pension availing family memberIf an applicant’s family member avails the benefit of a pension, he or she does not qualify for this scheme.
Income taxpayerNo family member of an applicant should be an income taxpayer.
Built-up areaApplicants living in a municipal area must not own more than 1500 sq. ft of built-up area.

Under the Jagananna Vasathi Deevena Scheme, eligible students will receive the following benefits:

Online Application Process

  • Click on “Student Services”: On the homepage, click on the “Student Services” tab, which is located on the top navigation bar.
  • Click on “Jagananna Vasathi Deevena”: From the dropdown list, select “Jagananna Vasathi Deevena”.

  • Visit the official website of the scheme, YSR Navasakam. On the menu, click on the “Download” tab and select “JVD Reimbursement Proforma.”
  • Download the form and take a printout of it.
  • Fill in all the required details such as the family head’s information, the student’s details, and other necessary information. attach all the supporting documents such as an Aadhaar card, BPL certificate, income certificate, residential documents, and bank account details as required.
  • Once the form is complete, submit it along with the supporting documents to the appropriate authority (To submit The application form of this scheme, you may visit the Block Development Office or Navasakam Camp in your area. Alternatively, you may also approach your Village Grama Volunteer or your local school)

Renew Jagananna Vasathi Deevena scholarship

To renew their Jagananna Vasathi Deevena scholarship, the student needs to follow a two-step process.

Step 1: The College Principal will register the renewal application by entering the student’s admission date for the current year and their Hall Ticket/Roll Number from the preceding year’s examination. After successful completion of the registration process, the student will receive an SMS confirming the successful submission of their renewal application.

Step 2: The student needs to visit their college to view their application details and provide biometric authentication to verify their identity. Once the biometric authentication is completed, the renewal process for their Jagananna Vasathi Deevena scholarship will be complete.
