Eligibility Criteria

  • The applicant must be a resident of Haryana state.
  • The applicant must be a women worker in the unorganized sector, such as a domestic worker, street vendor, or informal sector worker or anything else
  • The applicant must not already own a sewing machine.
  • The applicant must have a BPL (Below Poverty Line) card or be eligible for one.
  • The applicant must have a recommendation from a registered trade union or employer.
  • The applicant must not have received any other government assistance for purchasing a sewing machine in the past.
  • Monthly income less than or equal to Rs 18,000/-
  • Under this scheme, the service period of the workers is fixed for 2 years

As per the new information provided, there are a few more conditions that an applicant must fulfill to avail the benefits of the scheme.

  1. One year of the regular membership of registered women workers is necessary: This means that the applicant must have been a registered women worker with the Haryana Labour Welfare Board for at least one year before applying for the scheme.
  2. Undertaking for purchase of sewing machine giving price, trademark, source, and date: The applicant must provide an undertaking stating the details of the sewing machine they wish to purchase, including its price, trademark, source, and date.
  3. This facility is available only once in a tenure: The scheme can only be availed once by an applicant during their tenure as a registered women worker with the Haryana Labour Welfare Board.

It is also important to note that the scheme is only available to female applicants and does not continue after their death.

  2. A valid proof of residence (Aadhaar Card, Voter ID, Electricity Bill, etc.).
  3. A certificate of completion of a tailoring course of at least six months duration.
  4. A copy of the applicant’s bank passbook.
  5. Income certificate issued by the competent authority.
