The Scheduled Castes Development Department of Kerala has taken an important step to ensure the better education of students belonging to SC, ST, and OBC communities. The Online Centralised System for Disbursement of Scholarships/Schemes is an innovative solution to streamline the disbursement process of the educational assistance schemes for pre-matric and post-matric students. This integrated online software solution will help the students to get financial assistance for their education in a hassle-free manner.

Objectives

The main objectives of this online system are:

  • To provide a common platform for the students belonging to SC, ST and OBC communities to apply for various educational assistance schemes.
  • To simplify the process of disbursement of financial assistance to the students by eliminating the need for manual interventions.
  • To ensure that the students receive their financial assistance directly to their bank accounts through Direct Beneficiary Transfer (DBT).
  • To make the entire process of applying and disbursing financial assistance transparent, efficient, and quick.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the financial assistance under any of the educational assistance schemes of the Scheduled Castes Development Department, a student must meet the following criteria:

  • He/she should be a resident of the state of Kerala.
  • He/she should belong to either SC, ST or OBC communities.
  • He/she should be a pre-matric or post-matric student pursuing education in an institution recognized by the state government.
  • The student’s family income should not exceed the prescribed limit as per the relevant scheme.

Educational Qualification:

  • The student must have secured at least 75% attendance.
  • The student should be enrolled in a post-matriculation course program.
  • The admission of the candidate should be done under the reserved quota based on merit.

  • For SC students studying above 8 km from their residence: Rs 750 per month
  • For SC students pursuing professional courses and residing on their own: Rs 1500 per month
  • For OBC students enrolled in any +2 course program: Rs 160 per month
  • For OBC students pursuing PG or professional courses (day scholars): Rs 200 per month
  • For OBC students pursuing PG or professional courses (hostellers): Rs 250 per month

  • Name, Address, Date of Birth, Gender, Mobile Number, Bank Account details, and Aadhar Number.

  • Proof of education, such as a certificate from the institution, the student is pursuing education.
  • Proof of family income.

How to Apply

The students can apply for the various educational assistance schemes through the Online Centralised System for Disbursement of Scholarships/Schemes by following the steps mentioned below:

Application Procedure

  • Follow the instructions displayed on the screen.
  • Enter your Aadhaar card number and name as per the Aadhaar card.
  • Validate Aadhaar to continue with the registration.
  • Enter personal details such as mobile number.
  • Click on “Register.”
  • Login using the credentials displayed on the screen.
  • Enter 5 types of details to apply for the scholarship.
  • Click on “Apply For Scholarships Post Matric.”
  • A list of scholarships will be displayed on the screen.
  • Select E-Grantz 3.0 scholarship.
  • The application form will be displayed on the screen.
  • Upload all necessary documents.
  • Click on “Submit.”

Application Status

  • Go to the official website of the scholarship portal.
  • Click on the option called “Track Your Application” present on the menu bar.
  • Enter your Aadhaar Card number and date of birth.
  • Click on “Track Application.”

Student Login Procedure:

  • Go to the official website of E-Grantz 3.0.
  • Click on “Student Login.”
  • Enter your email id and password.
  • Click on “Sign in.”
