About The Kerala State Young Scientist Scholarship

The Kerala State Council for Science, Technology, and Environment (KSCSTE) has initiated the prestigious Kerala State Young Scientist Awards to acknowledge and honor young Indian scientists who have made exceptional contributions in the field of science and technology. This esteemed award aims to encourage and support talented scientists in their pursuit of groundbreaking research.

The KSCSTE Kerala State Young Scientist Award is a great platform for young scientists to showcase their innovative ideas and hard work in the field of science. The winners of this award are rewarded with a cash prize of 50,000 Indian rupees along with a certificate of recognition. Eligibility criteria

In order to qualify for the KSCSTE Kerala State Young Scientist Award, applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • applicants must be a young scientist of Indian origin with a Ph.D. in any branch of science and technology.
  • applicants must have been working in Kerala for the last three years in a research and development institution or academic institution.
  • Below 37 years of age as on 31st December in the notifying year.
  • Applicants must hold a Ph.D. degree with three years of postdoctoral experience.
  • Possess working experience in any R&D/academic institution in Kerala continuously for the last 3 years.

Selection Procedure

  1. Review Nominations:
    • Experts will carefully review all nominations.
  2. Shortlisting:
    • Outstanding candidates are shortlisted based on their nominations.
  3. Presentation:
    • Shortlisted candidates present their research work.
  4. Evaluation and Selection:
    • The committee evaluates presentations and selects final awardees based on excellence in research.
