Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for this scheme, a media person must be:

  • Above 60 years of age.
  • Accredited with the Information, Public Relations & Languages Department, Haryana for the last five years.
  • Possess at least 20 years of experience in journalism.
  • Absence of pending criminal proceedings against the applicant.
  • Open an Aadhaar-linked savings bank account.

Benefits

  • A substantial monthly pension of ₹10,000.
  • Continuous pension for the spouse in case of the media person’s demise, provided the spouse is not receiving financial assistance from other sources.

  • Photograph and signature of the applicant.
  • Copy of Aadhaar card.
  • Photograph and signature of the spouse.
  • Proof of Date of Birth.
  • Proof of at least 20 years of working experience (PDF file containing all experience certificates).
  • Correspondence Address and Permanent Address.
  • Copy of Bank Passbook.

How to Apply

The application process is streamlined and can be completed online through the Antyodaya-SARAL Portal:

  • New users need to register on the portal, providing the necessary details.
  • Upon receiving a login ID, applicants can sign in and navigate to “Apply for Services.”
  • Using the search function, find and click on the “Pension Application for Media Person” link.
  • Fill in the required details in the online application form.
  • Submit the application form and await verification to start availing the scheme benefits.
