In this twenty-first century child marriage is still a big burden in Indian society. Plenty of NGOs across the country and the state government are working hard to eradicate this problem from society forever. The Jharkhand State Government has launched the Jharkhand Mukhbir Yojana as an initiative to eradicate child marriage from the state. The state government has announced a reward of up to Rs 50,000 for breaking the system of child marriage from society.

The scheme will focus on providing special training to adolescents to avoid such problems. DK Saxena, Director General of the Nutrition Mission, briefed about the management of various projects to combat child marriage.

Anyone who provides information on child marriage on the Child Marriage Information Helpline Service No. 104 will receive this cash prize.

In fact, information must be provided before marriage. The information must be accurate.

  • 50,000 cash prize

The cash prize will be given to those gram panchayats in the state where there is no incident of child marriage during the entire period of one year.

And those families who arrange their daughter’s child marriage will be given legal punishment.

According to the piece of information so far, the government has received more than 100 reports on child marriage through helpline number 104. And most of these reports are coming from Ranchi city.

According to some reports, Jharkhand accounts for 38% of child marriages across the country. According to the state government report, Godda district has the highest number of child marriages at 63.5 percent. The second and third are Garhwa and Deoghar districts where the rate of child marriage is 58.8% and 52.7% respectively.
