The Maharastra state government has launched many welfare schemes for the benefit of women in the state. Similarly, the Maharastra state government has launched a pension scheme called the “Maharastra vidhwa Pension” Scheme considering the welfare of all widows living in the state. The Maharastra Women Welfare Committee has launched this scheme to provide social security to widowed women of the state. This Scheme will provide them a monthly sum of Rs 600 for improving their lives, all the widows above 18 years can Apply for widow pension under this scheme

Eligibility Criteria

  • The applicant must be a resident of the state of Maharashtra
  • Applicant Women Must be a widow
  • The applicant should be living below the poverty line.
  • To take advantage of this scheme, the age of the applicant should be less than 65 years
  • If the applicant has any type of government job and a regular source of income, she will not be eligible to apply.
  • Applicant Widow should not get any family pension

Benefits

  • Beneficiaries under this scheme will get Rs 600 per month as pension, If a widow has more than one child, in that case, the widow will get Rs 900 per month till her child completes 25 years.
  • The amount of this pension will be credited directly to the beneficiary’s bank account
  • The amount of this pension will be deposited in the first week of each month
