Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the KALIA Scheme, applicants must fulfil the following criteria:

  1. Must be a permanent resident of Odisha.
  2. Engaged in agricultural activities such as farming, cultivation, horticulture, or animal husbandry.
  3. Categorized as “deprived” or “vulnerable” under the Socio-Economic Caste Census (SECC) 2011 or state government surveys.
  4. Own cultivable land or be a sharecropper/tenant farmer.
  5. No age limit for application.
  6. Annual income should be less than Rs 2.00 lakhs.
  7. Possess a bank account linked to Aadhaar number.

Benefits

  1. Financial assistance of Rs 12,500 for landless agricultural households to support allied activities like goat rearing, poultry farming, fishery kits, mushroom cultivation, and more.
  2. Financial assistance of Rs 10,000 per year for vulnerable cultivators and landless agricultural labourers.
  3. Life insurance cover of Rs 2.00 lakhs at a nominal premium for savings bank account holders.
  4. Personal accident cover of Rs 2.00 lakhs at a minimal annual premium for savings bank account holders.
  5. Collateral-free crop loans up to Rs 50,000 for vulnerable landless laborers, cultivators, sharecroppers, and agricultural families at 0% interest.
