It wants to make the market a fair and competitive place. The scheme wants to make sure that every entrepreneur has a chance to succeed, no matter how big or small their business is.


Objective Of This Scheme

  • Fostering growth and competitiveness in small businesses, farmers, and artisans.
  • to Enhance market infrastructure by providing financial support for storage facilities, godowns, and market yards.
  • To Teach traders and artisans essential marketing, financial management, and product quality skills.
  • Cultivating valuable market connections between local entrepreneurs and diverse market channels.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Business or industry must be located in rural areas of Assam.
  • Operational continuity for at least 2 years.
  • Ownership of a dedicated workshed for production processes.
  • Age of the applicant must be between 18 to 50 years.
  • No educational qualification requirement.

Benefits

  • Financial assistance for participation in local, state, and international exhibitions/trade fairs.
  • Stall rent support: Rs 5,000 for participation within the state and Rs 15,000 for participation outside the state.
  • Daily allowance (DA) for fair days: Rs 50 within the district, Rs 600 outside the district, and Rs 500 outside the state.
  • Travel support for two individuals with 2nd class railway fare for out-of-state events.

Required Documents

  • One passport-size photograph.
  • Copy of industry registration.
  • Relevant caste certificate.
  • Training certificate (if applicable).
  • Copy of a canceled cheque with the proprietor’s name.
  • Quotation from the fair organization for stall rent.

How To Apply

  • Fill out the form as per the prescribed format.
  • Attach required documents including passport-size photograph, industry registration copy, caste certificate (if applicable), training certificate (if available), and more.
  • Address the completed form to the District Industries and Commerce Centre.
