About Vishwakarma Shram Samman Yojana

The Vishwakarma Shram Samman Yojana is a scheme launched by the GOVT of Uttar Pradesh, to provide training and financial assistance to traditional artisans and craftsmen such as carpenters, tailors, blacksmiths, goldsmiths, and potters, to set up small industries. The state government will provide financial assistance ranging from INR 10,000 to INR 10 Lakh to eligible beneficiaries. Over 1.43 lakh artisans have benefited from the scheme so far. A target has been set to train more than 5 lakh artisans in the next 5 years. The funds will be directly transferred to the bank account of the beneficiary and the bank account must be linked to the Aadhaar card. On the occasion of Vishwakarma Day, a function is organized by the state government where loan distribution and certificates are distributed to the beneficiaries of the scheme.
